Prayer is one of the most powerful things we can do. Prayer is simply talking to God, seeking God.
Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7
Humility coupled with prayer is very powerful! When we engage in this together,
it becomes even more powerful. Yahweh is God, Jesus is Lord and seeking Him
sincerely results in change, blessing, favor and more. 2020 was a tough year, but
our God is a great God and He’s going to do great things in us and through us as
we seek His face in 2021. Let’s humble ourselves and seek the Lord together!
If you are under doctor’s care, please check with your doctor before you
begin to fast.
Please do not stop taking your medications during your time of fasting.
Consider your physical demand when fasting. Make sure your body gets the
fuel from food it needs to meet physical demand.
Pray during the time of fasting, personally and corporately. The purpose of
fasting is to intensify prayer.
The Daniel Fast
We are engaging in “partial fasting”, such as Daniel did in Daniel 10. Daniel ate
only vegetables, fruits, etc. No meat or sweets. Daniel had to continue to
discharge his responsibilities as a civil servant while fasting and praying. Let the
Lord lead you in how you are to participate in this time of Consecration. Do not
feel that you have to engage for the entire 21 days. You may choose how many
days and when. May the Lord bless you richly as you seek His face.
